Indonesia: Introduction of Absorption Chiller to a Chemical Factory [Tokyo Century Corporation]

2019.01.10

Sourcing funds for operationalization is an important part of any project. More low carbon technologies have been introduced in plants or warehouses in ASEAN countries by leveraging on loans and also leasing schemes.

A high efficiency absorption chiller was installed in the PT Timuraya Tunggal chemical factory in Karawang, West Java Province. Utilizing exhaust steam emitted into the atmosphere, power consumption and GHG emissions of the chiller will subsequently be reduced.

Further diffusion of low-carbon technologies is expected by leveraging on loans and leasing schemes which can reduce the initial investment cost.
