COP23: JCM / Technology Day at Japan Pavilion

Save the date notice: Several events at the “JCM-Technology Day” at the COP23 Japan Pavilion will be opened on Thursday, 9 November 2017!!

 

As a fresh morning session, “Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through technology innovation, deployment, and transfer” will be opened. Key players in Asia, namely, the Government of Cambodia, the Indonesia JCM Secretariat, the City of Yokohama, United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS), and the Overseas Environmental Cooperation Center, Japan (OECC), will share various activities based upon their rich experiences.

 

Please enjoy communication with panelists at the Networking Lunch Buffet, followed by the afternoon session “The JCM contributions towards achievement of the National Determined Contributions (NDCs)” co-organized by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ) and the OECC.

 

The first presenter of the afternoon session will be Mr. Phu from the Danang Power Company, Ltd, Vietnam, which is one of the project participants of the JCM project “Introduction of Amorphous High Efficiency Transformers in Southern and Central Power Grids”. The presentation covers the reasons for joining the JCM, benefits gained through the implementation of a JCM project and perspectives for horizontal expansion in the future. Don’t miss it!

 

There will be a one-hour panel discussion with government officials from JCM partner countries (namely Mongolia, Viet Nam, and others) and Japan, in which they will discuss effective implementation of the JCM from the perspectives of efficient and effective achievement of NDCs.
