Mongolia: 10MW Solar Power Project in Darkhan City [Sharp Corporation]

A Large solar power generation plant (10MW) was constructed in Darkhan City which is located 230 km North of the capital city Ulaanbaatar and has started its operation on January 1, 2017.

 

Solar panels were installed on a vast land as wide as 40 football fields. This project contributes to dissemination of renewable energy in Mongolia.

 

Mongolia relies a large amount of its energy supply on coal.. The solar power generation plant supplies clean energy and contributes to reduction of GHG emission and improvement of air pollution as well.
