The 4th Joint Committee meeting of the JCM between Bangladesh and Japan was held in Tokyo.

Welcoming 12 representatives from Bangladesh, the 4th Joint Committee (JC) meeting of the JCM between Bangladesh and Japan was held in Tokyo. This time, registration of the first JCM project in Bangladesh, the 25th in the world, was approved!

 

Representatives from both countries had in-depth discussions revolving around replication/scaling-up of the JCM projects, pointing out the good practices achieved through the JCM financing programs by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan.

 

Dr. Nurul Quadir from the Ministry of Environment and Forests together with the JC co-chair, wrapped-up the meeting whilst asserting, “We can see a brighter future through the JCM.”

  • A Progress report of the projects was made: All 5 projects are implemented steadily as JCM Model projects in Bangladesh and they are showing promising prospects to future Project Participants.
